Match Racing
The Americas Cup made match racing famous around the world. Two boats racing against each other over a short course is fun, entertaining and exhilarating. To provide your clients or staff with a fun, competitive and exciting day out our match racing sail days are a great choice and excellent fun. Come and enjoy the thrill of close quarter racing. If you want to introduce some good spirited competitiveness into your sailing then our match racing day may well be the answer.
Crew participation is actively encouraged on our match racing days as good team work and slick manoeuvres are vital in securing a victory. Safety is our priority at Sailing Logic and a comprehensive safety brief with excellent tuition and training will be given prior to the first race starting after lunch.
The pre start is always the most exciting part of a match race as the two boats will be locked in battle fighting for the optimum position on the start line. A good start requires everyone on board to be involved as the boat changes course every few seconds, charging around the start box. Generally there will be three races in the afternoon before heading back to the marina for afternoon tea and prize giving.
REFLEX 38
The Reflex 38 is a very manoeuvrable 11 metre racer cruiser that is ideal for corporate match racing. Designed with corporate racing in mind, the successful Reflex 38 delivers fast and fun sailing whilst maintaining a safe and forgiving ride. The ideal crew numbers are between 6 and 8. We will provide a skipper and mate, breakfast, racing lunch and soft drinks.
Price: £3,400 per day for two yachts, 16 guests, RIB and photography
FARR 52
The Farr 52 is a grand prix race yacht that delivers amazing performance and speed. For the ultimate in performance and a guaranteed exhilarating ride the Farr 52 is the perfect choice. There are only two available in the Solent, both of which are normally raced at the highest level. We will provide race skippers, mates and two experienced crew to ensure you have an enjoyable and safe day out. The ideal crew numbers are between 10 and 12.
