Puma Logic 2nd in the Garmin Winter Series Race 2
Puma Logic, sponsored by Gill, finished 2nd on Sunday in Race 2 of the Garmin Hamble Winter Series. The wind was between 15 and 18 knots from the East which provided the perfect conditions for the Reflex 38. This combined with sunshine made for a fantastic day out.
After two and a half hours of exciting racing Puma crossed the finish line in 3rd place ahead of all the faster Prima 38’s. On corrected time this was good enough to finish in 2nd place just four seconds ahead of Tarka, a Beneteau 40.7.
Puma Logic is now holding a superb 2nd place in the series behind Jammy Dodger, a J133. This shows great potential for Puma Logic’s new crew who only sailed together the previous weekend for the first time. Three of the team, including the bowman and mastman had never been racing before!
