| Course duration: | 2 days (1 day if you already hold a valid sea survival certificate) |
| Prior Experience: | None |
This course provides training for skippers and crews who may encounter rough weather and problems at sea. It consists of three parts; 1 day of sea survival training, a half day first aid course, and half a day of training in seamanship, heavy weather techniques, communications and emergencies.
The certificate awarded confirms crew eligibility under section 6.01 of the ISAF Special Regulations for category 0, 1 and some category 2 offshore races. These require a percentage of the crew to have taken personal survival training.
This course is a must for those crews undertaking the Rolex Fastnet Race.
If crew already have a Sea Survival training certificate, then the second day of the ISAF course can be booked separately at a cost of £79.
